MAKENEY HALL WEDDING

Saturday 4th June saw the best weather of the year for wedding photography, Sarah & Tony were married at Makeney Hall Derbyshire, Nicola Sumpter had a late Start today 9am! Providing Hair and Make Up services for the Sarah the Bride. Nicola worked her Magic as usual and Sarah looked amazing with her hair up and cascading down one side. Tony and the rest of the boys arrived nice and early for photos with Geoff Sumpter taking lots up Formal and unposed Images. The ceremony took place in Lavinia’s Room followed by Group photos on the lawn, with guest enjoying fantastic views of Derbyshire, completing the Group Photographs in just 10 minutes, Geoff & Nicola Sumpter then walked the grounds with Sarah & Tony, leaving the guests to enjoy drinks and the views. With some wonderful photo opportunity’s at Makeney Hall the bride & Groom have hundreds of impressive photographs to choose from. After photographing the Guests in couples and families the ‘Sumpters’ then left the Party to enjoy the Wedding Breakfast. A very relaxed day with lots of fun and Banter.

Bestwood Lodge Nottingham Wedding

Sunday 29th May, a feature packed wedding with fun for all. Kate and Alan were married today with Bestwood Lodge Hotel Notts. Providing the Venue. Nicola Sumpter again doing the Hair & Make Up for the Bridal Party, Geoff Sumpter arrived in plenty of time to photograph the quaint Bestwood Lodge Chapel where the Civil Ceremony was due to take place, the Groom Alan arrived in a James Bond Aston Martin, and he very much looked the part. After the Ceremony Geoffrey Sumpter orchestrated the Formal Group Photos with Nicola Sumpter capturing the informal Reportage images, the Bride & Groom then strolled the Country Park that is attached to the Lodge, with the ‘Sumpters’ getting some excellent shots. The Wedding Breakfast room looked lovely and the Guests enjoyed their meal to the sounds of a live Jazz band, in the evening the guests were treated to a Barbecue, Rock band, DJ, photobooth and amazing Close up Magic from Jordan O’Grady at www.a1magic.co.uk .

Risley Hall Wedding

Saturday 28th May saw Sumpters the imagemakers in action again, this time at Risley Hall Country House Hotel, Derbyshire. Nicola Sumpter was again first out the blocks, arriving at Risley Hall to start Bridal Hair and Make Up at 8.30am. Sue and her attendants looked wonderful and were ready spot on time to allow a few pre wedding photographs out of sight of the guests, Risley Hall is ideal for this as it has many different areas for photographs. The Groom Ian was filmed arriving by the highly professional Video team at www.diamonddv.co.uk, with Geoff Sumpter expertly capturing all the Formal and Informal stills photographs. After the ceremony all the groups photographs were captured in less than 15 minutes, the Guests then enjoyed drinks on the Lawns, whilst the Bride & Groom had individual photographs around the extensive Risley Hall Gardens, Geoff & Nicola Sumpter managed to capture lots of great images and although this years Breezy weather continued, Risley Hall sheltered positioning helped keep everyone looking immaculate. Geoffrey Sumpter returned to capture First Dance Photography and all the evening guests….. Another great Day for all.

Beautiful Dress at Aston on Trent

Saturday 21st May saw Sumpters the Imagemakers in action at the wedding of Jon and Kim, the ceremony was at Aston on Trent Village Church, with the reception following at Morley Hayes Golf Club. Kim wore a stunningly beautiful dress and looked amazing, after the Ceremony Geoff & Nicola Sumpter took group photographs on the lawns behind the church before the wedding party left for Morley Hayes Golf club, recently refurbished to very high standards. The happy couple were greeted by Banquets manager [also named Geoff] who expertly looked after the wedding party, they enjoyed the good weather and excellent gardens before moving into the immaculate reception rooms for the Speeches and Meal. A good time was had by all. Geoff and Nicola Sumpter are looking forward to a busy weekend coming up with the wedding of Sue & Ian on Saturday at Risley Hall Country House Hotel, then on Sunday its Kate & Alan at Bestwood Lodge, Nicola Sumpter will be extra busy with early starts for hair and make up duties for both Bridal parties.

Windy Wedding at Horsley Lodge

Saturday 14th May was the wedding of Jenny & Nigel, strong winds failed to prevent everybody having a wonderful time. It was an 8.30am start for Nicola Sumpter preparing the Hair & Make Up for the Bride, Bridesmaids, and Brides Mum, with so many ladies to look after Nicola was grateful of assistance from Make Up artist and friend Elaine. All the girls looked wonderful and everyone was ready to leave as arranged. The smart modern Mercedes cars supplied by www.poshcars.com then delivered the party to Horsley Lodge spot on time. Jo the Wedding coordinator at Horsley was a great help and ensured all the proceedings ran smoothly, whilst Geoff Sumpter arranged the group photos, the wedding breakfast room was prepared and looked amazing with a cream & gentle green theme supplied by Louise at www.lushoccasions.co.uk . Nottingham University Retirement

Today11th May I have been photographing a Retirement Party at the Chemistry Dept Nottingham University, Nearly 44 years of service for Alan Spibey, who looks very well on it!
